University of Bologna
Umberto Cesari boasts a collaboration with the Crop Sciences Department of the University of Bologna that goes back decades. We have put our vineyards at the disposition of its agronomists and researchers in order to take full advantage of the results of their cutting-edge experimentation. This felicitous fusion puts centuries-old experience at the service of modern expertise, with exceptional results.
Men and machines
We are fortunate in our collaboration with highly qualified oenologists and agronomists, as well as other professionals with decades of experience. But only with the help of the most advanced instrumentation can we achieve true absolute quality. This is the choice that we made in equipping our winecellars: innovative equipment that can ensure constant monitoring, precise control, and outstanding results, for wines that are always improving in quality.
The future is already here
Monitoring soils, vine vigour, and the health of the vineyards are tasks that are quite challenging, given the large numbers of vineyards we cultivate. To assist our agronomists in their decision-making, we utilise an experimental network of weather monitors that help us, through the seasons, to track weather conditions and to react quickly and proactively to protect the well-being of the vines.
